In our society, sexual education is still often limited and sexuality is far from being liberated. Taboos, prejudices, ignorance, societal pressure… we don’t know where to start. That’s why several Instagram accounts dedicated themselves to this education, advocating a «filter-free» sex education. In this way, they dispel the prejudices about sexuality and complete the gaps of an overflowing sexual education.

Of course, these accounts don’t claim to replace doctors and specialists, or even classical sex education, but speak of non-professional alternatives that can be of great help in the lives of many people.

They give us the possibility to approach sexuality with goodwill and to decomplexify dialogue. Their ambition is to change the image of sexuality conveyed by pornography. Thus, these accounts help us to accept our sexuality, to know and understand our bodies and those of others, and finally they teach us to listen to ourselves, to please us and to love us.

Thus, these accounts have initiated a real revolution. But this revolution couldn't have taken place without social networks, these accessible and universal exchange platforms. Indeed, it’s paradoxically because social networks create a distance that we are comfortable on them. Behind their smartphones, people dare to communicate and confide more about personal topics. Especially since, on these accounts the tone is familiar and the images decomplex, thus the tongues of the followers in search of answers are being loosened, without fear of judgment.

However, today these accounts, which have been able to see the opportunity offered by social networks, bump into the limit of these platforms. Page deleted or suspended, publications deleted… All are censored. And especially on Instagram, which mostly censors educational content around pleasure, forgetting to distinguish pornography and pedagogy.
